05/05/2025

The Sol2H2O project team participated in the Desalination for the Environment – Clean Water and Energy conference.

The European project Sol2H2O, coordinated by the University of Évora, took part in the Desalination for the Environment – Clean Water and Energy conference, organized by the European Desalination Society (EDS), which was held from April 27 to 30, 2025, at the Alfândega Congress Centre in Porto, Portugal.

Throughout the event, the Sol2H2O consortium actively contributed to the dialogue on sustainable and innovative desalination solutions, with several presentations delivered by project members. Notable highlights included a poster presentation by Frederico Felizardo et al. and a talk as part of the continuation of the “Water-Energy Transition” symposium, emphasizing the project’s focus on integrating renewable solar energy into water treatment technologies.

The project’s presence at the conference strengthened its commitment to advancing solar-driven technologies for water production and treatment, while reinforcing Portugal’s role at the forefront of clean water and energy innovation.
