In parallel with the #4 Sol2H2O Project Meeting, the #2 Fast-Track School took place in Pozo Izquierdo, Gran Canaria, on the 25 and 26 of September.

Hosted by ITC, and with speakers from all the consortium partners, had 42 attendees (online and onsite), including young, senior and candidate young researchers.

Besides the presentations, the attendees had a visit to the ITC facilities and the Desaladora de Agua de Mar de Telde  and the Fast-Track School ended with a researcher’s brainstorming session for onsite attendees.

Nuno Moreira, a PhD student at the University of Évora, tells us about his experience: The recent participation at the FTS#2 was my first experience in a European twinning for research programme. Sharing innovative solutions for water and wastewater treatment, and thus creating opportunities for future synergies in the implementation of circular solar-driven technologies, will be paramount to address the challenges posed by climate change and sustainable growth.
