The international symposium Water-Energy Transition was held on April 22, 2025, with a national session focused on Portugal
As part of the European project Twinning HEUROPE Sol2H2O, coordinated by the University of Évora and with the participation of CIEMAT (Spain), the University of Palermo (Italy), and the Technological Institute of the Canary Islands, the international symposium Water-Energy Transition (WETSymp) was held on April 22, 2025, with a national session focused on Portugal.
The online event brought together experts and key stakeholders to discuss the role of solar technologies in water production and treatment, and their relevance to the goals of the National Energy and Climate Plan. The symposium also aimed to explore the industrial and export potential of the technological solutions being developed under the Sol2H2O project.
Participants included representatives from APA, Aqualia, ARMadeira, ARH, ADP, FENAREG and ZERO, along with researchers from the University of Évora, ITC, and CIEMAT, reinforcing the scientific dimension of the event.
The partners in Spain will have their event on the 23 of June (Tenerife) and the partners in Italy will have their on the 30 of June (Online).
The international day will be in July.
