The first Regional Specialization Forum under the Sol2H2O project was held on the 31st of October at CCDR Alentejo. It was attended by representatives of the University of Évora’s Renewable Energies Chair (which coordinates the Sol2H2O project), CCDR Alentejo, SAMSON Portugal, Agência de Desenvolvimento Regional do Alentejo (ADRAL), Administração Da Região Hidrográfica Do Alentejo (APA/ARH), Empresa de Desenvolvimento e Infra-estruturas do Alqueva, S.A. (EDIA) and Águas do Alto Alentejo (AAA).

Focused on discussing different technological solutions for solar water production and treatment (namely desalination and solar photocatalysis), this forum seeks to study the possibility of establishing the corresponding value chains in the Alentejo and to check how they fit into the EREI Alentejo 2030 framework.
